Bio

Jessica’s research focuses on the relationships of psychosocial, cultural, and behavioral factors with risk and outcomes in chronic cardiometabolic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Jessica is particularly interested in addressing ethnic and socioeconomic disparities in these diseases, reducing disease risk in immigrants, refugees, and other undeserved populations, and developing low-cost, community-based, culturally appropriate health interventions.
