International students may never be able to be considered residents and, for that reason, are always charged non-resident tuition in addition to resident fees. For that reason, international students will always register/pay tuition/fees at SDSU, as SDSU has the ability to waive the out of state portion of the fees.
If a resident alien card (green card) is secured while in the program, a student may be considered a resident one year from the date on the card so please pursue obtaining California residency immediately if you are able to obtain a “green card”. International students may or may not be eligible for a resident alien card.
