Our Mission

The JDP Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee was initiated in 2019 as a student-led collaborative committee focused on diversifying the field of clinical psychology, improving culture-specific student training, and developing community outreach programs. For the JEDI Committee, diversity is broadly defined and includes identification by race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, ability/disability, religion, language, socioeconomic status, immigration status and age.

To date, the JEDI Committee has worked in the three areas of: Recruitment/Retention and Mentorship, Training, and Outreach and Service. In 2020, students on the JEDI Committee received a Student Diversity Initiative Award from APAGS to support their activities.

The JDP JEDI Committee is currently being reconfigured as a faculty-led initiative with active student involvement, as suggested by the students. Details to follow this spring!
