Student records are considered highly confidential, and are maintained electronically on our secure FERPA-compliant SharePoint system.  Access to each student record is restricted to that student, the Co-Directors and Program Coordinators, as well as the student’s faculty mentor(s) and guidance committee.

Consistent with university guidelines (https://www2.calstate.edu/csu-system/records-retention-disposition/Documents/student-records/Student_Records.pdf) the JDP retains historical/vital student records (e.g., transcripts, documentation of successful completion of JDP milestones) permanently.  This allows the JDP to respond to requests for specific information related to graduation, licensure, and credentialing that may be submitted many years later.  Complete student records (including all internal evaluations and correspondence not of historical/vital nature) are retained at least until the subsequent APA accreditation visit.
