Nicholas Morelli, a clinical psychology student and a mentor for the Foster Youth Mentor Program, was named Child Welfare Services’ Volunteer of the Year by the San Diego Board of Supervisors. 

According to his biography on the San Diego County website, Nicholas built a strong connection with his mentee, aiding them through obstacles and ensuring they reached their full potential.

Through his 300 hours of volunteer work, Nicholas showcased commitment, flexibility, and empathy, undoubtedly making a positive impact on his mentee’s life. 

San Diego County recognizes the efforts and contributions volunteers make to the city each year by naming a Volunteer of the Year from each of the county’s departments.
