Junye Ma Receives the Kendall Family Memorial Scholarship from PFLAG San Diego

Junye Ma (he/him) is a 3rd year student working with Dr. Keith Horvath, whose research and community engagement focus on sexual health disparities among LGBTQ+ people of color.

Junye was awarded the Kendall Family Memorial Scholarship ($3000) by the PFLAG San Diego, a national organization uniting parents, families, and allies with LGBTQ+ individuals.

The PFLAG San Diego County Scholarship Program celebrates Junye’s research (e.g., journal reviewer, LGBTQ+ conference planner) and community engagement (e.g., LGBTQ+ health presentations at local high schools).
