Vanessa Malcarne, PhD is the recipient of the First Annual Senior Mentor Award from the Student Special Interest Group of the Society of Behavioral Medicine. This award was developed to recognize the contributions of two outstanding mentors each year, one senior faculty member and one early career faculty member. Dr. Malcarne was recognized as a mentor who has provided her students guidance in finding a path in their research, careers, and lives in general. The award will be presented on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Society of Behavioral Medicine annual meeting in San Antonio, TX. Congratulations, Vanessa!
