Bio

My research is dedicated to understanding health disparities experienced by individuals from multiply-marginalized communities. My scientific questions hone in on racial/ethnic and sexual/gender minority populations at the nexus of HIV, substance use, and public health. I explore topics related to harm reduction, substance use treatment, PrEP adherence, HIV outcomes, discrimination, stigma, and intersectionality. My goal is to improve evidence-based interventions for historically and systematically excluded communities. My passion for health equity invites bridge-building across disciplines, with scientific collaborators and community stakeholders, to improve the care, health, and wellbeing of marginalized communities.
