How to Apply for MS Graduation at SDSU

SDSU officially graduates students at the end of the fall, spring, and summer terms. Students apply to graduate and pay a one-time non-refundable application fee through their my.SDSU for the term in which they plan to complete all requirements for the degree. For more information on how to file for graduation and the application filing periods, please visit the SDSU College of Graduate Studies: Graduation Information website.

Students must inform the SDSU Program Coordinator when they plan to apply for the MS degree. Once all degree requirements have been met and submitted to the program, (refer to the JDP Submission Guidelines on the Second Year Project webpage), the SDSU Program Coordinator will complete and submit the required paperwork to the College of Graduate Studies. If a student must postpone award of the degree for any reason, they can re-apply for graduation without an additional fee through their my.SDSU.

Commencement

Students who apply to graduate with their MS in Clinical Psychology, can participate in SDSU Commencement. Commencement ceremonies are held each year at the end of the spring semester for students completing degrees in the spring and summer terms, or the fall of the previous calendar year.

Details regarding the campus-wide commencement events are mailed to students in March, and are available on the commencement website.

Transcripts

According to the College of Graduate Studies, “Degree information will appear on the unofficial transcript approximately 6-8 weeks from the diploma date (see the Graduation Deadlines flyer on the homepage for specific dates). Students can view their unofficial transcripts and order official transcripts through the Academic Tile in my.SDSU.”
