Leila Glass was recently awarded a three year NRSA predoctoral fellowship for her dissertation project entitled: “Mechanisms of Reading-Related Dysfunction in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders” under the sponsorship of Dr. Sarah Mattson. This award will support Leila’s work focused on understanding the nature of reading-related difficulties in children with FASD and help determine how to best target interventions for specific underlying cognitive skills, leading to focused treatment recommendations to improve the scholastic performance of children affected by prenatal alcohol exposure.
