Description
CompensationAs of Fall 2021, all students are guaranteed five years of funding covering tuition, fees, insurance, and a minimum compensation amount determined annually. Effective Fall 2024, the JDP anticipates that the minimum compensation for incoming students will be $34,564.50.
Loans/GrantsGraduate student loans are available to students who are US citizens through either the SDSU Financial Aid & Scholarships Office OR UC San Diego Financial Aid & Scholarships Office. Graduate grants, fellowships, and scholarships are also available through such sources as APA, APS, NIH, NSF, and others. Minority students often have special funding sources available to them. Students interested in financial aid should submit an application to the Financial Aid Office by May of the year in which they wish to obtain funding.
Health InsuranceAll JDP students must have health insurance. There are a variety of ways the requirement to provide students with health insurance can be met.
