Reuters news recently published an article titled ” Gay, bisexual men report more indoor tanning, skin cancer.” According to the article gay and bisexual men are six times more likely than heterosexual men to use indoor tanning devices and be diagnosed with skin cancer. More research is still pending on the direct link between sexual orientation and an increased risk of skin cancer.  Dr. Aaron Blashill,  Assistant Professor of Psychology at SDSU, contributes to this discussion encouraging for a media campaign informing gay and bisexual men of their increased risk of skin cancer.The story has been picked up by Fox News, U.S. News and World Report, Yahoo, and Huffington Post. [Read the Reuters article]
