The department of psychology is excited to introduce Dr. Inagaki.
Tristen researches why close social connection is a primary need for humans and how connection leads to better health across the lifespan by using a combination of brain imaging (fMRI), pharmacology, psychophysiological, and PNI methods. Current research interests include how thermoregulatory mechanisms and endogenous opioids contribute to social connection, and why giving support and care to others is health protective.
