Every year faculty, staff and peer advisers who provide outstanding advising to San Diego State students are awarded the Provost’s Outstanding Academic Advising Award.
Congratulations to Logan Watson, who has served over two years as an Undergraduate Peer Advisor for the Psychology Department at San Diego State University. He has been the Teaching Assistant for Psychology 491, Academic Counseling class at SDSU and has been involved in various on-campus programs such as: the Psychology Mentoring, Outreach, and Education (PsyMORE) Program, Psi Chi National Honors Society, and Psi Beta National Honors Society. He has also given speeches to local community college classes about university life and being proactive about achieving educational goals.
After graduating from San Diego State in fall 2016, he will be traveling through Europe. Logan is going on to a Masters of Education program at Point Loma Nazarene University to study college counseling and guidance starting in fall 2017. He also hopes to return to his Alma Mater as an academic advisor or student affairs faculty to inspire students to pursue their passions and ease students’ transition in to university life.
