Congratulations to Giovanna Arantes de Oliveira Campos, a recipient of the Research Award for Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice for the 2025 SDSU Student Symposium (S³). Giovanna is a 1st year Masters student in the SDSU Department of Psychology working with her mentor, Dr. Inna Fishman. Giovanna received their Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from Temple University in Philadelphia in 2024 and was awarded the prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, which funds Giovanna’s research at SDSU. Giovanna’s current research focuses on exploring potential early brain markers of autism. Giovanna’s excellent presentation at the 2025 SDSU Student Symposium (S³), entitled Cerebellar White Matter Tracts in Young Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, was selected for the Research Award for Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice.
