Jeff Conte, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, recently received a 2-year grant from the Army Research Institute for the Social and Behavioral Sciences (ARI) to investigate multivariate relationships among Big Five personality dimensions, cognitive ability, job performance, and retention in large samples of U.S. Army personnel. Dr. Conte will be working on this grant with Dr. Scott Roesch, Professor of Psychology, and graduate students in his Personality Measurement research lab. A primary goal of this project is to help improve future selection and classification decisions in the U.S. Army.
