Undergraduate psychology students Cecilia Bess and Annalia Valdivia

Our congratulations go out to psychology student and MARC scholar, Cecilia Bess, on her poster:  “Demographic Predictors of Initial Interest in Contralateral Prophylactic Mastectomy among Women with Sporadic Breast Cancer: Preliminary Results” presented at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Scholars.  Cecilia was a 2012 Outstanding Research Awardee in the Social & Behavioral Sciences/Public Health poster session.

Another Congratulations goes out to psychology student and MBRS-IMSD Scholar Annalia Valdivia on her Outstanding Research Award in the Social and Behavioral Sciences/Public Health Poster session at the 2012 Annual Biomedical Research Support (ABRCMS) conference, November 7-10, in San Jose.  This was Annalia’s first poster presentation at a National conference.  She presented, “Is Weight Cycling Detrimental of Psychological Health in Mexican American Women?”
