What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out in this Master’s program? Be open to the various career opportunities outside of Ph.D.! There are so many other ways to be involved in research that do not require going through a doctorate program. Also, take advantage of all the benefits of being a student!

What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out in this Master’s program? Get comfortable with the fact that you could always be doing more so that you don’t sacrifice the other parts of your life that are important to you. Graduate school is important, but your well-being is your most important job.

What is the best advice you would give to someone just starting out in this Master’s program? Don’t be afraid to pursue statistical skills and knowledge or revolve your projects around heavy stats methods. It will expand job/Ph.D. opportunities for you once you graduate! And don’t be afraid to apply for positions that aren’t necessarily in ties with our major! You can always apply your skills broadly 🙂
