Siyuan Huang has been awarded the Robert L. Solso Research Award by the Western Psychological Association which will be presented to her at the upcoming convention in Long Beach. Siyuan finished her undergraduate studies at Peking University where she worked on empathy and attentional bias modification. She is currently a second-year student in our Master’s Program and is working on her research thesis in the Spatio-Temporal Brain Imaging lab under Dr. Marinkovic’s mentorship. Her project uses EEG methodology and focuses on the neural dynamics of emotional memory as a function of binge drinking. In addition, she participates in other projects in the lab including studies investigating the neural basis of response inhibition and decision making under conflict.
