Bio

Ellie worked with Dr. Sarah Armstrong and Dr. Asheley Skinner at the Duke Center for Childhood Obesity Research where she completed an honors thesis exploring 2-year outcomes of a clinic-community partnership model to treat childhood obesity. She graduated magna cum laude from Duke University in 2019, earning her B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in Global Health.

Ellie is particularly interested in the etiology and treatment of obesity and binge eating disorder and is currently a 3rd year graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She is originally from Cincinnati, OH and in her free time she enjoys trying new recipes, creating travel itineraries, and cheering on the Blue Devils!
