Student Opportunities

  1. Graduate students who are admitted to the M.S. Program in Applied Psychology can request to join the Wellness and Representation (WAR) Lab for their thesis project and other research collaborations. Ideal candidates have a strong academic background in research methods with an interest in industrial-organizational psychology.

Bio

Wiston Rodriguez’s research focuses on topics within occupational health psychology such as workplace mistreatment, illegitimate tasks, and the work-nonwork interface. He is also interested in DE&I research, specifically looking at the unique experiences of LGBTQ+ employees and how those experiences impact work and nonwork outcomes.

His research has received funding from The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and has appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as Personality and Individual Differences, Organizational Psychology Review, and Stress and Health. He also has applied experience working with global and Fortune 500 organizations in the areas of talent management, learning and development, assessment, and applied consulting.
