What is your favorite part of your research?

Best advice you would give to an incoming student?

Learn about boundary setting to ensure that you don’t take on so much, and maintain a solid work-life balance whenever possible. – Shea O’Donnell

Lean into the research and enjoy it, the program will give you back as much as you’re willing to put in. – Matthew McArthur 

Celebrate your accomplishments, big and little! You are your own competition, don’t compare yourself to others. – Judy Mahmalji

Plan out your days! As Master’s students we are expected to juggle a lot of different responsibilities. At first this can seem overwhelming, but eventually you will figure out what works best for you. For me, planning out my week ahead of time was helpful to achieve a good balance. – Isabel Leon

Don’t be afraid of feeling lost. It is a sign of growth and there will be lots of opportunities to push past your limitations. – Danielle Mc Lemore
