Bio

Joseph Ocampo works for the Department of Psychology within the College of Sciences at the San Diego campus. He was trained as social and personality psychologist at UC Berkeley and is a full-time postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at Rady School of Management. He has lectured on topics related to statistical programming and data analysis, culture, and social behavior at UC Berkeley, Rady School of Management, and San Diego State University.

His research focuses on the social factors that contribute to student & trainee success in STEM fields. In particular, he is interested in how mentors and peers create positive work experiences, work motivation, professional identification, and successful STEM career pathways for students and trainees.
