The department of psychology is excited to introduce Dr. Jane Leer.

Dr. Jane Leer is a developmental psychologist and policy researcher. She received her Ph.D. from Duke University in Psychology and Public Policy (dual degree) and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Boston College. Dr. Leer’s research aims to understand and mitigate inequities in youth mental health, social cognitive development, and education outcomes by focusing on context (e.g., contexts of race and class inequities in schools and neighborhoods).

She uses a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods and partners with community organizations, government agencies, and student researchers to do community-engaged, policy-relevant work.
