Bio
Mark Laumakis has been a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology since the Fall 2000 semester. During his career at SDSU, he has taught more than 38,000 students. In addition to Introductory Psychology, Dr. Laumakis also currently teaches Research Methods and an Honors College course entitled The Science of Behavior Change. For 15 years, from 2007 until 2022, he held the position of Faculty in Residence in Instructional Technology Services, where he helped design, run, and evaluate the Course Design Institute, through which SDSU faculty members received training in the development and delivery of engaging online courses. Dr. Laumakis holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern California. Originally from Philadelphia, he is naturally a rabid fan of the Super Bowl LII and Super Bowl LIX Champion Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies.
