The Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention has awarded Dr. Kristen Breit with the James G. Wilson Publication Award for research in prenatal exposure to cannabinoids and alcohol. Dr. Breit is a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Thomas at the Center for Behavioral Teratology.
The James G. Wilson Publication Award is awarded to the best paper published in the journal of Birth Defects Research the previous year. This year The effects of alcohol and cannabinoid exposure during the brain growth spurt on behavioral development in rat was selected for this prestigious award.
The Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention will be honoring Dr. Kristen Breit along with other awardees at their 60th annual meeting June 2020.
